Chapter House Replacement
Our next big adventure is Chapter House Replacement. We have spent over 50 years in 402 South, and the house is over 100 years old. Looking toward the future we know that major repair or replace is coming. After much discussion amongst the Alumni Board, we are pursuing replacing our chapter home with some property on Quincy St. We know this next step requires a commitment from Alumni, from the financial aspects to the Engineering work we look to find places for our Organization to support itself. A project of this scale is not possible without contributions from our generous alumni, if you feel like supporting you can on the fund or reach out directly to Black Hills Area Community Foundation.
New Property Purchased
In June 2025, we closed on new piece of land that we were able to buy from CARA. This property definitely has it’s challenges. It’s up on the hill, but that also means that it offers amazing views of Campus, M Hill, and the rest of Rapid City. Below you can see the highlighted area that covers the general area based on some points placed on the map. More will be continued to be updated and shared here and in future issues of Lines from the Mines

Chapter House Replacement Quasi Fund
